God knows what you need…

Today has been one of those days of continuous reminders that God knows exactly what we need. I love Psalms 91:9 reminding us that “The Lord is my refuge” but I love the following verses more. He reminds us that “no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike you foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent” (Psalms 91:11-13, NIV). In recent days, I have felt the weight of the world on my heart. Today, that weight was lifted by the angels that God put in my path.

The morning began with a simple call sharing a personal Godwink and story of praise…one that has been a long time coming. I needed that reminder to stay strong in faith and trust and know that things will happen in God’s time, not mine. And in that time, it is the perfect time. It continued with an unexpected conversation of forgiveness and ended with a wonderful birthday celebration for Nancy’s knowing she was up in Heaven watching us eat all her favorite sweets and food. The house filled with laughter and dancing to “BTS”-sigh. I felt God in all of these encounters, I felt His hand in each moment. I felt their hands lifting me up both physically and emotionally. His angels on earth came to me in my time of need and reminded me that with His strength, I will trample the enemy.

My friend and I sat on the front porch talking about the prayers of thanks to start your day. We shared that when we do this, we find more things to be thankful for throughout the day. When we start with sorrow or focusing on all that is wrong, we continue to focus on all the wrong things in the day. I don’t know about you, but I am going to choose to start the day with thanks and praise, everyday. That was how my day started today. After I wrote my blog last night, I ended the day in thanks and praise and was very intentional of starting the day in praise. Look what happened….darkness did not have a lasting hold on me today. At least for today, the serpent has been trampled.

Today, I pray that you surround yourself with your angels on earth. I pray that when they reach out, that you welcome them with open arms. I pray that you never forget that God has you and that no harm will ever overtake you.

I pray these words spoke to you, please share with a friend. Subscribe to my web page to never miss a blog.
